ACTIVATED CHARCOAL AVEXIMA is an enterosorbent.

It is used as a detoxicant in different exogenous and endogenous intoxications of various origin: in case of alimentary and drug allergy, poisonings with medicinal products, in gastrointestinal diseases accompanied by dyspepsia, flatulence, and others. It is used to reduce flatus before ultrasound examination or X-ray examination.

Indications for use:

  • Combination therapy:

    — food toxicoinfection;
    — salmonellosis;
    — dysentery.

  • Gastrointestinal diseases accompanied by dyspepsia, flatulence.
  • Alimentary and drug allergy.
  • Poisoning with medicinal products, alkaloids, salts of heavy metals, and other poisons.
  • Hyperbilirubinemia (viral hepatitis and other types of jaundice).
  • Hyperazotemia (renal insufficiency).
  • To reduce flatus in the intestine before ultrasound and X-ray examinations.
Method of administration and posology:

For oral administration ,1 hour before meal.

For adults, in average (4-8 tablets) 1-2 g 3-4 times daily, maximal single dose - up to 8 g (16 tablets).
For children, the dose is calculated as 0.05 g/kg of body weight.
Maximal single dose - up to 0.2 g/kg of body weigh.
Treatment course in acute diseases - 3-5 days; in allergy and chronic diseases - up to 14 days.

In case of flatulence, 1-2 g (4-8 tablets) 3-4 times daily are prescribed.
Treatment course is 3-7 days.

Shelf life:

2 years. Do not use after the expiry date.
