ACTIVATED CHARCOAL AVEXIMA is an enterosorbent.

It is used as a detoxicant in different exogenous and endogenous intoxications of various origin: in case of alimentary and drug allergy, poisonings with medicinal products, in gastrointestinal diseases accompanied by dyspepsia, flatulence, and others. It is used to reduce flatus before ultrasound examination or X-ray examination.

Indications for use:

Combination therapy:
— food toxicoinfection;
— salmonellosis;
— dysentery.
Gastrointestinal diseases accompanied by dyspepsia, flatulence.
Alimentary and drug allergy.
Poisoning with medicinal products, alkaloids, salts of heavy metals, and other poisons.
Hyperbilirubinemia (viral hepatitis and other types of jaundice).
Hyperazotemia (renal insufficiency).
To reduce flatus in the intestine before ultrasound and X-ray examinations.

Method of administration and posology:

For oral administration ,1 hour before meal.

For adults, in average (4-8 tablets) 1-2 g 3-4 times daily, maximal single dose - up to 8 g (16 tablets).
For children, the dose is calculated as 0.05 g/kg of body weight.
Maximal single dose - up to 0.2 g/kg of body weigh.
Treatment course in acute diseases - 3-5 days; in allergy and chronic diseases - up to 14 days.

In case of flatulence, 1-2 g (4-8 tablets) 3-4 times daily are prescribed.
Treatment course is 3-7 days.
