Ketoconazole is a broad-spectrum synthetic antifungal agent for topical use.
It has a fungicidal and fungistatic action against dermatophytes, yeast and yeast-like fungi, dimorphic fungi, and eumycetes. The medicinal product is active against staphylococci and streptococci.
- Indications for use:

- acute and chronic recurrent vaginal candidiasis;
- prophylaxis of fungal vaginal infections in decreased body resistance secondary to treatments with antibacterial agents and other medicinal products impairing normal vaginal flora.
- Method of administration:

Intravaginally.
Having preliminary extracted the suppository from the blister, inject it deeply into vagina in lying position; 1 suppository daily for 3-5 days depending on the disease course.

In chronic candidiasis, use 1 suppository for 10 days.
If there is no improvement after the treatment or new symptoms occur, one should consult the doctor.
