RIMANTADINE AVEXIMA is a medicinal product for prophylaxis and early treatment of influenza A in adults and children over 7 years old.

It is important to remember, that rimantadin should not be taken simultaneously with medicinal products containing paracetamol and ascorbic acid, since they reduce maximal drug concentration.

Indications for use:

Prophypaxis and early treatment of influenza A in adults and children over 7 years.

Method of administration:

For oral administration, after meal.

When the first signs of influenza occur, Rimantadin should be administered according to the following dosing schedule:

Treatment:

For adults:
Day 1: 100 mg 3 times daily;
Days 2-3: 100 mg 2 times daily;
Days 4-5: 100 mg daily.
On the first day of the disease, the medicinal product may be taken at a single dose of 300 mg.

The treatment lasts for 5 days.

For children:
children aged 7-10 years - 50 mg 2 times daily;
children aged 11-14 years - 50 mg 3 times daily; children aged over 14 years - doses for adults.

Prophylaxis of influenza:

adults are prescribed 50 mg once daily for up to 30 days;
children over 7 years old are prescribed 50 mg once daily for up to 15 days.
