Pancreatin is a digestive enzyme product.

Pancreatin makes up the deficiency of pancreatic enzymes. It contains excretory pancreatic enzymes: lipase, alpha-amylase/trypsin, chymotrypsin. The medicinal product contributes to cleavage of proteins, lipids, and starch.

The enzymes contained in Pancreatin produce their action in small intestine (the coating protects them from the effects of gastric acid).

Indications for use:

  • in digestive disorders associated with hepatic and pancreatic diseases;
  • chronic pancreatitis with insufficient pancreatic function;
  • achylia;
  • anacid and subacid gastritis;
  • chronic enterocolitis.
Method of administration and posology:

Tablets should be taken during the meal or immediately after the meal without cracking.

For adults, a single dose of Pancreatin is 0.5-1.0 g, a daily dose is 4 g.

For children under 1 year old, Pancreatin powder is administered as 0.1-0.15 g; 2 years old - 0.2 g; 3-4 years old - 0.25 g; 5-6 years old - 0.3 g; 7-9 years old - 0.4 g; 10-14 years old - 0.5 g per one intake.

The medicinal product in tablets is prescribed at the following doses: at the age of 6-7 years old - 1 tablet (0.25 g), 8-9 years old - 1-2 tablets (0.25-0.5 g), 10-14 years old - 2 tablets (0.5 g).

The treatment course is 4-6 weeks to 2-3 months and more.

Shelf life:
2 years. Do not use the medicinal product after the expiry date.
