SANOVASC is an antiplatelet agent (acetylsalicylic acid preparation at low dosages of 50, 75, and 100 mg). It decreases the platelet aggregation, adhesion, and thrombi formation. The antiplatelet effect develops after the use of low drug doses and is preserved for 7 days after a single administration. Such properties of ASA are used in prophylaxis and treatment of myocardial infarction, ischemic heart disease, complications of varicosis.

Indications for use:

  • prophylaxis of acute myocardial infarction in presence of risk factors (for example, diabetes mellitus, hyperlipidemia, arterial hypertension, obesity, smoking, elderly patients) and repeated myocardial infarction;
  • instable and stable angina;
  • prophylaxis of stroke (including that in patients with transitory ischemic attack);
  • prophylaxis of transitory ischaemic attack;
  • prophylaxis of thromboembolism after surgeries and invasive vascular interventions (for example, coronary artery bypass surgery, carotid endarterectomy, arteriovenous shunting, angioplasty, and coronary stenting);
  • prophylaxis of deep vein thrombosis and thromboembolism of the pulmonary artery and its branches (including those during prolonged immobilization due to a major surgery)
Method of administration and posology:
For oral administration with large amounts of liquid, preferably before meals. Tablets are taken once daily.
The treatment duration is determined by the attending physician.
Shelf life
3 years. Do not use after the expiry date.
