At the gala evening dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the enterprise, employees and management of the enterprise were awarded certificates of honor from the Sverdlovsk Oblast Governor and the Administration of the town of Irbit.
The Irbit Chemical and Pharmaceutical Plant (ICPP) was founded in 1942 on the basis of the evacuated Akrikhin plant in Moscow to supply military hospitals with essential medicines. The production capacities of the plant were created taking into account the strategic tasks – the substances chemical synthesis and the implementation of the medicines production full cycle.
Today, 80 years later, the plant is the backbone, system-forming, enterprise of the country. Significant technological modernization carried out in recent years allows the Irbit Chemical and Pharmaceutical Plant to confidently occupy a leading position in the Russian pharmaceutical market.
Modern production that meets international quality standards allows for a full production cycle from substance to finished dosage forms. More than 30% of the plant's products today are drugs included in the Vital, Essential, and Necessary Drug Listing.
The plant produces modern drugs, including the antiviral drug Nobazit and the fast-dissolving Furacilin Avexima, which have proven their effectiveness and gained the trust of patients during the pandemic.
The plant has not only preserved the history of the enterprise, developed and applied accumulated experience, produced high-quality products in compliance with modern international standards, but has also become one of the leading pharmaceutical companies in the country. The Irbit Chemical and Pharmaceutical Plant (ICPP) is currently the basis of the production division of the “Avexima”, OJSC, Pharmaceutical Company. 80 years ago, the plant took responsibility for providing the country with quality medicines, and today this work continues at a modern technological level aimed at the health of millions of people preserving.
