Visit of the Kemerovo Oblast – Kuzbass Governor to the “Avexima Siberia” LLC, Pharmaceutical Plant

The Kemerovo Oblast – Kuzbass Governor, Sergey Tsivilev, visited the “Avexima Siberia” LLC, Chemical and Pharmaceutical Plant in Anzhero-Sudzhensk town.

During the visit, the regional leader held a working meeting on issues related to supporting the Kuzbass manufacturer (import substitution) with the participation of the heads of the regional departments. The meeting noted the high production potential of the “Avexima Siberia” enterprise and outlined steps to expand the range of the plant's products, which will fully meet the region's needs for modern and high-quality medicines for the next few years.

According to the Governor, given the current situation in the world, the demand for high-quality domestically produced drugs is particularly high today, and at the same time, the region has all the opportunities to support local Russian manufacturers. Therefore, work in this direction will be scaled up in the near future.

Following the meeting, a Working Group was formed under the leadership of Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Kemerovo Oblast – Kuzbass - Minister of Industry and Trade, Leonid Vladimirovich Starosvet. The group includes the heads of the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Health of the Oblast, the Avexima Company CEO, Elena Tkachenko, the CEO of the “Avexima Siberia” Plant, Lyudmila Solodukhina, as well as the Head of the Anzhero-Sudzhensky Urban Okrug, Aleksandr Rybalko.

The enterprise produces more than 100 types of finished dosage forms, as well as 6 active pharmaceutical substances for in-house production of medicinal products and for sale. The tableted medicines production is dominant. The product range includes medicines from the “Vital and Essential Drugs List”. The company has licenses for the production of tablets, coated tablets, hard gelatin capsules, infusion solutions, powders in sachets and polymer jars, injection solutions in vials, suppositories, gels, ointments, and creams.

The enterprise development plans include the construction of additional production buildings to localize analogs of imported medicinal products to achieve the country's drug sovereignty in the current situation context with the drug supplies possible restrictions from unfriendly countries. The enterprise area will allow for additional production facilities placing to increase the manufactured products volumes required in the framework of import substitution not only within the Kuzbass territory, but throughout the Russian Federation.
