On July 22, a celebratory evening dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the plant was held. Employees and veterans of the plant received commemorative awards from the regional leadership and the enterprise.
Ekaterina Silinina, head of the chemical and light industry department of the Kuzbass Ministry of Industry and Trade, attended the award ceremony on behalf of the Governor of Kemerovo Oblast, who presented the plant’s staff with the medal “300th anniversary of the founding of Kuzbass” and in her congratulations emphasized the importance of the plant in the industrial complex of the Kemerovo Oblast, “Today, it is difficult to overestimate, the “Avexima Siberia” enterprise contribution to the import substitution program implementation. We wish the plant to continue to work and develop for the benefit of all residents of our region and Russia as a whole.”
"Avexima Siberia", being one of the largest chemical and pharmaceutical plants, is included in the list of backbone enterprises of the Russian Federation.
Today, the plant employs more than 400 qualified specialists.
The large-scale reconstruction of the enterprise, the creation of new production lines, modern laboratories, and the advanced production technologies implementation allow for the products manufacturing through the entire technological cycle – from the substance to the finished dosage forms.
The Avexima Siberia plant is implementing an import substitution program in the drug provision field in Russia. The manufactured products range consists of several dozen drugs, including vital ones. The plant localizes the production of the antiviral drug Nobazit, which has proven to be an effective remedy for influenza and acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) and has become one of the first drugs whose effectiveness against COVID-19 was confirmed by clinical studies.
At the beginning of 2023, the production of six more drugs in the following groups - antifungal, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial agents, and antiseptics - is planned at the enterprise.
